Tom Stutler is a senior executive and trusted advisor with profound expertise in global security governance, security leadership coaching and corporate risk management. Tom brings more than three decades of experience across highly regulated and high-risk environments, including defense contracting, financial services, fintech, and global commercial real estate. His career spans leadership roles managing security, investigations, real estate, and environmental health and safety programs in more than 130 countries.

Prior to joining SafeHaven Security Group, Tom served as Vice President of Operations Security and Environmental Health & Safety for Cadillac Fairview, an Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan company, where he led security and life safety programs across a global portfolio of large-scale commercial real estate assets. He previously held global leadership roles at Finastra, one of the world’s largest fintech organizations, overseeing identity access management, physical security, facilities, and real estate operations across 85 offices and 23 data centers worldwide. Earlier in his career, Tom managed enterprise-wide security and investigations programs for Raymond James Financial.

Tom’s professional background also includes service as an FBI Special Agent, Assistant State Attorney (Prosecutor), and practicing attorney. This rare combination of law enforcement, legal, and corporate leadership experience enables him to bring a balanced, outcome-driven approach to threat management, investigations, and executive decision-making.

Tom is a licensed attorney and holds the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS International, as well as the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. A recognized thought leader in the security profession, Tom is a published author in ASIS Security Management Magazine, the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, and other industry publications, with a focus on corporate activism, investigations, and global security governance.

As Vice President – General Counsel, Tom brings extensive and diverse expertise to SafeHaven Security Group. His background includes serving as a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent and Assistant State Attorney, as well as a Court-Certified Expert Witness in Premise Liability and Corporate Governance. He is also a practicing attorney and has served as a Chief Security Officer, leading security, investigations, real estate, and environmental health and safety operations in more than 130 countries.
