With nearly two decades of service across military, law enforcement, and security sectors, Bear brings a proven record of leadership and operational expertise to his role with SafeHaven Security Group. His career reflects a consistent commitment to protecting people, strengthening organizations, and building resilient safety programs that adapt to complex and evolving threats.
Bear began his professional journey in the United States Army, serving as an Infantryman (MOS 11B) during Operation Iraqi Freedom. There, he conducted reconnaissance, counterterrorism, and combat operations while leading and training soldiers in high-stakes environments. His military career instilled a deep sense of discipline, adaptability, and tactical skill—qualities that continue to define his leadership today.
Following his military service, he transitioned into law enforcement, serving with the Ferrelview Police Department, Harrisonville Police Department, and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. Over more than a decade, he held a variety of roles including patrol officer, narcotics investigator, court security, school resource officer, and hostage/crisis negotiator on the STAR team. Recognized for his ability to mentor, build relationships, and respond decisively under pressure, he consistently earned trust from his peers, community leaders, and the public he served.
Most recently, Bear served as a Program Manager with Strategos International, overseeing the implementation of school protection programs across multiple districts. His work emphasized not only immediate security measures but also sustainable improvements to organizational safety culture.
Throughout his career, Bear has been recognized for his excellence and dedication, earning multiple Army Achievement Medals, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Law Enforcement Lifesaving Badge, and several commendations for service at home and abroad. His expertise spans threat intelligence, tactical operations, counterterrorism, crisis negotiation, and leadership development.
