David Lengefeld MS, LPC-S

David Lengefeld brings three decades of experience in the mental health field, beginning his professional journey in 1995. A Licensed Professional Counselor since 2007, David achieved terminal licensure in 2009 and earned his LPC-Supervisor status in 2023, enabling him to mentor and supervise up-and-coming therapists on the path to independent licensure.

David's clinical expertise spans a wide range of mental health settings. He is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with a specialization in couples therapy and is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), specializing in trauma. Throughout his career, David serves a diverse client base that includes CEOs, special operations military personnel, professional athletes, defense contractors, and first responders.

David has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Practitioner of the Year and the Hero Award from Birchtree Communities, where he served on the mobile crisis team and once extinguished a fire at a fully occupied treatment center, preventing potential tragedy.

In 2013, David expanded his service to the community by earning his Patrolman II classification. He currently serves as a law enforcement officer with the Grant County Sheriff’s Department in Arkansas. His unique blend of mental health and law enforcement experience positions him as a trusted resource on topics at the intersection of emotional well-being and public safety.

David is also a seasoned public speaker, with hundreds of hours addressing audiences on subjects ranging from faith and severe mental illness to the mental health challenges faced by first responders. Additionally, he has served in ministry in various capacities and acts as an expert witness in Arkansas domestic relations cases.

David lives in Arkansas with his wife and their two daughters.
